Seaside, OR February 2010 - Part 1

In February we went to Seaside, OR for a week.  Malinda, Teton, Ben and Maren spent the weekend with us.  We had a great time with them.

Evan was suppose to be taking a nap.  I heard him laughing and when I went in to check on him I found him sitting on the window sill watching people go by on the boardwalk.  Needless to say, no nap was had that day.

Evan's First Fishing Trip - May 2010

Gary took Grandma and Grandpa Thompson and Evan to Freeman Lake for a morning of fishing.  I stayed home because I was sick.  Luckily some great pictures were taken since this was Evan's first fishing trip!  The last picture where Grandpa is showing Evan the fish cracks me up.  I can just hear his thoughts...don't touch me with that!!!  :)

New Swing Set!!!

Grandma and Grandpa Thompson came to visit us in May and while they were here, Evan was spoiled by a new swing set! It was quite a process to get it put together.... :) While Gary and Grandpa were putting it together, Evan kept himself busy playing with Grandma, getting stuck in the bin and playing in the sand box.

Evan likes to play in this bin for some reason.  I think it's hillarious when he gets stuck.

Evan is finally liking his Diego bike.  He is getting really good at pedaling.

Still not so sure about going down the slide by himself.

Freeman Lake March 2010

In March we went with the family to Freeman Lake.  It was a great afternoon.  Here are some of the pictures I took.

Square Foot Garden

This is our square foot garden.  The beds are 8'x2' and the front bed has a double height for the carrots and onions.  The vertical support is made of metal pipe and nylon netting.  The pumpkins, tomatoes, cucumbers, sweet peas and sugar snap peas will grow vertically.

Tomatoes, cucumbers, sweet peas, sugar snap peas, pumpkins, marigolds, broccoli, peppers and bush beans.

Carrots, onions, corn, beats, zucchini, sunflowers and pansies.

Pages from Evan's Year 2 Book

These are my most recent pages from Evan's Year 2 book. I LOVE digital scrapbooking so much better than traditional! I'm using the Creative Memories Storybook Creator software. I actually signed up as a consultant so that I could get the discount. :) These pages will be in an 11x8 hardbound storybook. Our "family" album is made of 12x12 pages that I just print individually and put in the album.  I tried to lay these out 2 pages per row, but couldn't figure out how to do it.  You'll see how they go together though.
